The big news this week is that I have finished Santa of the Forest. Hurrah!! It took me 2 evenings to stitch the confetti stitches.....but it was well worth it. If they hadn't of worked out I was contemplating leaving them off but I don't think it would of looked as good as it does. I also didn't think the metallic would work as well as it has. In the photos I have picked out the top of the staff to try and show you how beautifully it has stitched up. You'll just have to imagine it glittering. :) I do hope all of you out there who have this project in your pocession do go on and complete it, it is a wonderful piece. I'm tickled pink with it. :)

It is absolutely beautiful! I'm glad to see someone else has done this piece - most think it's a little daunting. I did this piece back in 1997. I remember so well because I couldn't put it down and stitched every chance I could get - including in the car going to work (DH was driving) - and I was pregnant with my daughter and thought for sure that I'd get sick (bad morning sickness), but I didn't. My DH thought I was nuts!
